DATA PROTECTION NOTICE FOR CUSTOMERS

This Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) explains how Kian Seng Chun (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). This Notice applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including data managed by organizations we have engaged for such purposes.

“Customer” refers to any individual who:

(b) Enters into a contract with us to purchase goods or services.

Other terms used in this Notice follow the definitions in the PDPA, where applicable.

We generally collect personal data only:

When voluntarily provided by you or an authorized representative (third party authorized by you);

After we have notified you of the purpose of collection and obtained your written consent; or

When permitted or required by law to collect data without consent.

We will seek your consent if we need to collect additional personal data or use it for purposes beyond what you were notified.

3. Purpose of Collecting Personal Data

We may collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:

Providing goods and services you requested;

Responding to queries, requests, or feedback from you;

Processing orders, applications, or complaints.

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

We may disclose your personal data:

As required to fulfill our obligations when providing the requested goods or services.

5. Withdrawing Consent

The consent you provide for collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data remains valid unless you withdraw it in writing.

Processing of Withdrawal Requests

We will process your request within two (2) business days.

If the request is complex, we will notify you of the timeline required to complete the process.

Withdrawal of consent may impact our ability to provide you with services, and we will notify you if that happens.

If you decide to revoke your withdrawal request, please inform us in writing. Note that we may still collect, use, or disclose personal data without consent if permitted by law.

6. Access and Correction of Personal Data

You may request:

Access to your personal data or information on how it is being used or disclosed;

Corrections or updates to your personal data.

Please submit your requests in writing or via email to our DPO.

Fees and Processing Time

A reasonable fee may apply for access requests. We will notify you of any fees before proceeding.

We aim to respond within 15 business days. If more time is required, we will notify you within 30 days.

7. Protection of Personal Data

We take measures to safeguard your personal data from unauthorized access or disclosure, including:

Access controls and encryption;

Up-to-date antivirus software and security patches;

Secure disposal of storage media.

While we strive to protect your data, no transmission over the Internet is completely secure. We continuously enhance our security measures to mitigate risks.

8. Accuracy and Updates

We rely on the personal data you provide to be accurate and complete. Please notify us if there are any changes to your personal data by contacting our DPO.

9. Retention of Personal Data

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:

Fulfill the purposes for which it was collected; or

Comply with legal or business requirements.

Once personal data is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it.

10. Transfer of Personal Data Outside of Singapore

We do not typically transfer personal data outside of Singapore. If a transfer is necessary, we will:

Obtain your consent; and

Ensure the receiving country provides a comparable level of data protection.
